OWNER’S
ENGINEER
Merlin Associates will act as
Owner’s Engineer. In this
situation Merlin provides the
technical expertise and project
management skills on behalf
of project owner.
Typical
services provided include:
- Preparation
of EPC invitation to bid documentation
- Selection
of qualified bidders
- Assist
in selection of preferred
contractor
- Assist
in negotiation of contract
terms
- Monitor
contractor performance to
contract terms – engineering,
procurement, and construction
- Review
and approve engineering drawings,
specifications, and documentation
- Oversee
project performance testing
Merlin’s
participation as Owner’s
Engineer is typically for only
one segment of a LNG project
chain, however, this can be
expanded depending on the Owner’s
participation.
